The Pipe Club of Lebanon's Tobacco Sampling Sheet
After years of pipe tobacco smoking, and years of individual and communal sampling of new tobacco, the PCoLeb's members have issued what they think is a very complete, very clear, and very handy tobacco sampling sheet that covers a full smoking session from the moment the tobacco is between your hands until your pipe is finished and taking a well-deserved rest. All pre-smoking, smoking, and post-smoking stages are meticulously covered and preset options are provided for your convenience (note: this publication supersedes the old "Tobacco Testing" file found under "Tools." Please use the publication above instead).

PCoLeb members have gathered what we think is the beginning of a "Way" of the pipe, a "lore" of pipe smoking. Pipe smoking is undoubtedly an art, and as such is more than just the mechanics of taking a pipe, filling it, lighting it, and puffing (see our tips section for this). While the mechanics are essential to good pipe smoking, we feel that "something more" is there, something waiting to be discovered and used. Taking our inspiration from the Maîtres Pipiers' initiation ceremonies at St Claude, France, and wanting to put down some thoughts on the art of pipe smoking, we offer this brochure to our readers.
